Hello from Brigenza

 August 29, 2012

So this is my first blog for SY Brigenza – owned by Tony Porter and myself. Brigenza is a 2005 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37 which we have just bought.

We have carried out a number of fixes since collecting her from Southampton last month including…

  • Intermittent VHF radio – proved to short on aerial connector
  • Mainsail – large bag in sail causing issues with in mast reefing and sail setting – recut by Mike Green from Brighton who is a star
  • 12v sokets not working – replaced at nav station, rewired in cockpit
  • DSCVHF not displaying GPS – rewired NMEA
  • Chartplotter – configured to fix a number of issues/likes

We will keep her at Brighton and Ill attempt to blog our adventures. To date other than the delivery trip we have had a couple of day trips. We have already seen some reasonable seas and wind conditions and she seems very capable and easy to manage.

This coming Friday we have a weeks break – so looking forward to that
